-The vocal folds are the only part of the vocal tract that can be damaged by misuse. But the quality of the voice comes mainly from the vocal tract and the way it is used. Different methods of visualisation of the vocal tract are shown. Some  professionals with lessons on the vocal folds can have a very good voice. Some with normal vocal folds can have a bad voice. Acoustic analysis in relation with the shape transformation of the vocal tract, acoustic directivity, and a //pousse-tire// technique will be discussed. An efficient way of singing or speaking is not easy to acquire and must be learnt through trials & errors. When coordination becomes systematic and regular, the act of phonation becomes unconcious, and attention can be aimed at interpretation.+The vocal folds are the only part of the vocal tract that can be damaged by misuse.
