+**Looking for natural voice - the effectiveness of the program of Postgraduate Studies of Voice and Speech Training at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw**
 +
+The purpose of the study is to determine the acoustic aspects of the impact of a voice training intervention.  The experimental group will receive a vocal author’s training program of Postgraduate Studies of Voice and Speech Training at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. The subjects of the experiments are adults, age 25-55, male and female.
+The initial recording session was made before the training cycle started. The recording of the same content will be repeated to mark the training progress stages.  The recordings will be evaluated by the voice emission trainer and an independent expert (perceptual evaluation, using e.g. GRBAS questionnaire, Voice Handicap Index with modifications) and by the participants themselves (subjective self-evaluation, Voice Handicap Index). Furthermore, a case study of each course participant will be made. The description of their individual features, personal training goals and an opinion on their progress (prepared by the trainer), will be attached.
 +
+As an objective assessment technique, acoustic analysis of the collected speech signals will be performed. Parameters describing voice quality, speech suprasegmental features and vocal tract features will be extracted. Statistical analysis will show which parameters correspond to the perceptual categories of vocal performance evaluation. The most significant parameters will be chosen to develop algorithms to track progress within training course. For the analysis, Praat and Matlab software will be used.
 +
+The investigation will try to answer the following questions:
 +
+- How do trained voices differ from untrained voices?
 +
+- How does vocal training affect voice quality and help to find person's natural voice?
 +
+- Which acoustic parameters are best to assess training efficacy?
